About The Position

Tandem Care is hiring caregivers for their Targeted Care team. This role is ideal for caregivers who are specifically looking for morning hours and enjoy staying active throughout the day. Instead of spending an entire shift with one client, you'll support several seniors in their homes through shorter, meaningful visits that help them remain independent and safe. Caregivers are needed for morning hours, typically between 8:00 AM and 12:00 PM, 1:00 PM, or 2:00 PM, Monday through Friday. This is a part-time position with guaranteed hours after a 60-day probation period, raises every 6 months, and retention bonuses. The job involves weekday shifts only, seeing 3-4 clients per day with visits lasting 45 minutes to 2 hours. Responsibilities include providing personal care, companionship, household help, and transportation. The role offers team-based support, steady communication, and no waiting for the next assignment. This position is not a fit for individuals who only want long shifts, expect overtime every week, prefer to choose their own clients or decline certain types of care, only want a set routine or schedule each week, or like working alone and don’t want to be part of a collaborative team.

Requirements

Active Home Care Aide (HCA) registration in California
Must be registered with the state, have passed your Live Scan background check, and be listed as active
Consistent availability Monday-Friday (more availability = more hours)
iPhone or Android smartphone (work apps are required)
Active driver's license, auto insurance with yourself listed as the driver and your own car to transport clients in
Strong communication skills and ability to multi-task (quick, reliable responses are expected)
