PART-TIME MERCHANDISER - Lake County
About The Position
Indiana Beverage, a local, family-owned distributor serving Northern Indiana since 1939, is seeking a motivated Part-Time Merchandiser to support its retail accounts in Lake County, Indiana. The ideal candidate will live in central Lake County (Crown Point, Merrillville, Schererville). This role involves merchandising and stocking products, building and replenishing displays, and operating equipment like pallet jacks. The position offers up to 30 hours per week, with potential for full-time advancement, and is part of an award-winning team known for service, teamwork, and community support.
Requirements
- Must be 18 years or older
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Reliable transportation with a valid driver’s license
- Proof of auto insurance
- Good driving record
- Willingness to work Saturdays or Sundays
- Ability to pass post-offer screenings, including: Background check, Motor Vehicle Report (MVR), Essential functions screen (if applicable), Drug screening
- Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, bending, squatting, and climbing
Nice To Haves
- Prior retail or stocking experience is a plus
Responsibilities
- Merchandise and stock products at local grocery stores
- Build and replenish displays by moving product from the backroom to the sales floor
- Lift and move products weighing 50–160 lbs. (with or without a hand truck)
- Operate equipment such as pallet jacks and two-wheel hand carts
- Travel to various account locations in all weather and traffic conditions
