Requirements
- Master’s degree in social work, marriage and family therapy, or psychology from an accredited college or university.
- Active registration or licensure with the California BBS (or equivalent board) as an AMFT, ACSW, APCC, LMFT, LCSW, or LPCC.
- At least one (1) year of direct service experience working with emotionally disturbed adolescents in a healthcare setting (relevant student internship or practicum hours may be substituted).
Nice To Haves
- Experience working in an inpatient acute setting is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Completing assessments and helping develop treatment plans for clients.
- Provides individual and family therapy.
- Leads therapeutic group activities.
- Works with the treatment team to support client progress.
- Assists with discharge planning and connects clients and families with appropriate resources and services.
- Maintains accurate and timely documentation in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system.
- Provides support to families regarding admission, discharge, and aftercare needs.
