Requirements

  • Graduate of a culinary arts program through a vo-tech school.
  • 1-2 years of food preparation and cooking experience in a CCRC or long-term care industry is preferred.

Nice To Haves

  • An Associate's Degree from a culinary school is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Read, understand, and follow recipes and production sheets.
  • Adjust recipes as needed and ensure correct portion sizes are served.
  • Utilize wholesome ingredients and maintain food storage areas properly.
  • Follow safety precautions when using and cleaning equipment.
  • Adhere to food safety standards.
  • Maintain a clean work station throughout the day.
  • Deliver and serve food to the appropriate areas.
  • Monitor food and refrigeration temperatures for quality assurance.
