About The Position

The University of Miami, Department of Sociology and Criminology, seeks applicants for part-time lecturer positions to teach one or two sections of Sociology/Criminology. In addition, duties require a minimum of one hour per week of office hours per course to meet with students. An essential function and requirement of this position is in-person, face-to-face teaching for all classes. An appointment/offer is contingent upon student demand (enrollments) and available funding with the possibility that final confirmation will not be available until classes begin.

Requirements

• 1 year of college teaching experience
• Ph.D. in Sociology or related discipline required by time of appointment
• In-person, face-to-face teaching for all classes

Responsibilities
