About The Position

The Department of Social Work invites applications for part-time instructors to teach one or more graduate-level courses in Social Work Practice or serve as faculty field liaisons for Field Practicum courses at the Stockton and Turlock campuses. In addition to normal teaching responsibilities, field liaisons represent the university in collaborations with field instructors and students. They visit assigned students and field instructors at agency settings, provide consultation and collaboration, review learning contracts, assist in evaluating student performance, and facilitate bi-weekly integrative field seminars. Field liaisons also participate in student field orientations and field instructor training.

Requirements

Master of Social Work (MSW) degree.
Minimum of two years of post-MSW practice experience.
Prior teaching or training experience.
Experience and demonstrated competence working with a diverse group of people.
For field liaison assignments: flexibility and control over personal schedule, personal transportation, a valid driver’s license, and insurance.

Nice To Haves

Five years of post-MSW practice experience, including supervisory responsibilities.
Prior college-level teaching experience.

Responsibilities
