About The Position

This position supports the Ankura Disputes & Economics Business Group - one of five practices focused on client delivery services across the Firm. The Intellectual Property (IP) practice focuses on the valuation of cutting-edge technology including patents, trademarks, copyrights, and trade secrets. Our ability to value intangible assets for the world’s largest IP owners and small savvy innovators puts our team at the forefront of the most prominent industries. We combine state-of-the art data and analytics with advanced valuation methodologies to support decision-making in transactions, portfolio management, and disputes.

Requirements

  • Pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree with an expected graduation date that falls between December 2027 to August 2028.
  • A cumulative GPA of 3.2 or better.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Creative problem-solving ability and a collaborative mindset.
  • Strong data analysis skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and effectively prioritize tasks.
  • Highly motivated, driven, and dynamic attitude towards work and career.
  • Ability to excel within a team environment and independently.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Permanent authorization to work in the U.S. (i.e. U.S. citizen or permanent resident). Internships and full-time University Associate roles are not eligible for U.S. immigration sponsorship, work visa or any other temporary work authorization (i.e. OPT, CPT).

Nice To Haves

  • Preference will be given to business and technical majors (e.g. Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business Management, Management Information Systems, Computer Science, Statistics, or Mathematics).
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Project, Access, SQL, and Visio is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Perform research tasks directed at understanding business models, technologies, competitive landscapes, and other factors that can impact client proposals and deliverables. Responsibilities may include performing detailed fact finding using public sources and assisting with review of confidential production documents.
  • Expand industry knowledge, contribute to the development of consulting capabilities, and assist with the articulation of key findings and proposals to team members and clients.
  • Develop and perform financial, accounting, and economic models and perform data entry activities.
  • Assist in the preparation of expert reports and exhibits, and in creating proper documentation for analyses.
  • Perform critical quality control procedures to ensure accuracy and quality in financial, accounting, and economic models and expert reports.

Benefits

  • Payrate of $34/hr.
