Part-Time Instructor - Defensive Driving (Virtual NJ)
About The Position
The National Safety Council (NSC) is seeking a Part-Time Instructor for their Defensive Driving Course (DDC). This role supports the NSC's mission by teaching adult and teen-focused classroom courses on safe driving. Classes are held on weekends, weekdays, and evenings, ranging from four to eight hours. Instructors have the flexibility to choose their own schedules. The curriculum is designed to teach life-saving Driver Safety Course content to various motorists, including those mandated by the state or court to attend retraining programs. Full instructor certification training and materials are provided to qualified candidates. This is a virtual role within New Jersey.
Requirements
- Experience in public speaking with the ability to lead effective classroom discussions.
- A background in sociology, psychology, counseling, or education.
- Personal email address required for e-communication with our Instructor Portal & DDC Information Highway.
- The ability to deal with unexpected difficulties such as equipment failures, facility issues, individuals with learning or behavioral difficulties, and/or disruptions to class.
