About The Position

The Learning Experience - Byron Center is seeking a nurturing and dependable Part-Time Infant Assistant Teacher to join our Infant A classroom three days per week. This is a great opportunity for someone who loves working with babies and wants a consistent part-time schedule. You'll work alongside our classroom teachers to provide responsive care, support important developmental milestones, and create a warm environment where our youngest learners feel safe, secure, and loved.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED required
Patient, nurturing, dependable, and team-oriented
Comfortable with feeding, diapering, and other infant care routines
Must meet applicable Michigan childcare licensing requirements

Nice To Haves

Previous childcare, daycare, or experience working with infants preferred
Professional infant classroom experience is a plus

Responsibilities

Support daily routines and learning experiences in the Infant A classroom
Assist with feeding, diapering, sleep, tummy time, and individualized care routines
Engage infants through sensory play, music, movement, language, and age-appropriate activities
Support physical, cognitive, language, and social-emotional development
Provide attentive supervision and responsive care
Help maintain each infant's individual schedule and routine
Build positive and trusting relationships with children and families
Collaborate with Lead Teachers and center leadership
Maintain a clean, safe, organized, and nurturing classroom
Follow Michigan childcare licensing, health, and safety requirements
