About The Position

Huntington Learning Center in Evansville is seeking caring, qualified, and committed individuals for part-time Teacher/Tutor positions. This role is ideal for working professionals, graduate students, new teachers, retired teachers, or substitute teachers looking to make a difference in the community. The center offers a flexible schedule with evening and weekend hours, a pleasant working environment, and provides all necessary materials. Tutors will work directly with students K-12 and young adults, focusing on supplemental education services without the need for lesson planning or homework grading.

Requirements

• 4-year degree required.
• Comfortable working with a variety of students K-12 and young adults.
• Excellent personal interaction skills in 1-1 settings.
• For SAT/ACT tutors, SAT/ACT scores from within 3 years (or ability to take a free assessment in the center).
• Must be able to work at least 3 times a week.
• Weekend availability.
• Submit resume and cover letter, including copies of appropriate certifications.

Responsibilities

• Work directly with students K-12 and young adults.
• Deliver supplemental education services.
• Provide tutoring in various subjects including Verbal, Phonics, SAT/ACT prep, Math (Algebra I and II, Geometry, Trigonometry, Pre-Calc, Calc), and Science (Physics, Chemistry, Bio).
• Work with students in a 1-1 setting.
• Utilize provided materials for instruction.
