About The Position

Westfield Country Club is seeking a part-time Dining Room Host and Food Runner/Busser. This dual role offers experience in guest-facing positions, developing organizational skills as a host by managing reservations and walk-in customers, answering phones, and handling to-go orders. As a food runner/busser, you will act as a liaison between the kitchen and dining room, learning menu knowledge and service timing. This position serves as a stepping stone to becoming a server. The club is opening a new clubhouse in Spring 2026 with a state-of-the-art dining room, bar, and pool facility, along with a new menu and concept. The food and beverage team emphasizes personal development, contribution, learning, and team value.

Requirements

0 - 2 years of experience in Hospitality Management or a related field.

Responsibilities

Prepares work area for daily operations by making sure the designated workstations are properly stocked and sanitized.
Learns and operates the software to process and organize reservations and other dining room management applications.
Courteously answers phones according to company standards and provides assistance to callers.
Achieves the high standards of quality, production, cooperation, and service set by the company for our employees, guests and customers.
Operates and cleans beverage dispensers, coffee brewers, and other foodservice and beverage equipment.
Works cooperatively and effectively with peers and leadership to complete team tasks, serve as back-up for other team members as assigned and minimize customer service issues.
Learns the menu items, garnishes, appropriate sauces, sides, and utensils to accompany specific items. Can expedite items from the kitchen pickup window, identifying menu items by sight and delivering them to the proper customer at the proper table according to printed tickets.
Cleans food preparation areas, work surfaces, and dining areas.
Monitors supply inventory levels and notify supervisors when supplies need to be replenished.
Assists in the maintenance and cleaning of the dining room and server areas in compliance with all food safety and Hospitality standards of quality.
Greets customers courteously, answers questions professionally and accurately and escalates issues to leadership as necessary.
Operates cash registers or point of sale systems to process customer payments accurately for to go orders. Counts and reconciles cash transactions at the end of shifts and ensures proper documentation.
Works collaboratively with other food service staff, such as cooks, bartenders, and supervisors, to ensure smooth operations and efficient customer service. Communicates effectively and assists team members as needed.
