About The Position

As an important member of the University of Colorado GI faculty, the Gastroenterologist will have clinical responsibilities including outpatient clinic and inpatient hospital consultations, endoscopic procedures, and nights/weekends call coverage. The gastroenterologist’s primary practice site will be the University of Colorado Hospital, Anschutz Medical Campus, where they will provide outpatient and inpatient GI consultative and endoscopic services. The successful applicant for this position will be someone who communicates appropriately and effectively with patients, staff, consultants, and colleagues, has outstanding customer service skills, and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all.

Requirements

A medical degree from an accredited institution
Board certification or active board eligibility in Gastroenterology
Must have, or be eligible to obtain, an active State of Colorado medical license
Must have an active DEA license on or before hire date
Experience with Electronic Medical Records, such as Epic
ACLS and BLS certification

Responsibilities

Evaluation and management of GI disorders within the scope of a general gastroenterologist including: GERD, Dysphagia, IBS/functional GI disorders, Eosinophilic Esophagitis, Abnormal liver function tests, Pancreatitis, Occult iron deficiency anemia, GI motility disorders.
