About The Position

Part Time Flex Officers are responsible for patrolling buildings and grounds, detecting infringements, investigating disturbances, and ensuring the safety and security of the premises. This role involves monitoring for fire hazards, unsafe conditions, and securing doors and windows. Officers will warn violators of rule infractions, apprehend individuals engaging in suspicious or criminal acts, and respond to alarms. They will also assist management and enforcement officers in emergency situations and maintain orderly traffic flow. This position has no supervisory responsibilities and reports to Branch/Account Managers, Post Supervisors, and Field Supervisors.

Requirements

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
State Security Officer License (where applicable).
Certification in the use of weapons, State Armed License (if required).
Valid Driver's License (if in a driving position).
CPR/AED/First Aid Certification (may be needed).

Responsibilities

Patrol buildings and grounds to detect infringements and investigate disturbances.
Monitor for fire hazards, unsafe conditions, and security breaches.
Examine doors, windows, and gates to ensure they are secure.
Warn violators of rule infractions and apprehend individuals engaging in suspicious or criminal acts.
Respond to alarms and notify appropriate personnel.
Assist management and enforcement officers in emergency situations.
Regulate vehicle and pedestrian traffic.
Write investigation and automobile usage reports.
Be trained and qualified to work multiple posts to cover for absences.
