Part Time Faculty- Chemistry & Biochemistry
About The Position
The Frank R. Seaver College of Science and Engineering at Loyola Marymount University seeks lecturers to teach undergraduate courses in biochemistry and chemistry. There may not be openings at this time; applications will be kept on file and reviewed as openings arise. When needed, the position is expected to be a one-semester appointment, normally teaching 1–2 courses. The minimum salary is $2,657 per unit taught. Candidates should be enthusiastic about undergraduate education and able to teach a diverse student body. The role is part of the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry. The position may not be eligible for visa sponsorship now or in the future.

Responsibilities
- Prepare and distribute course syllabi.
- Prepare and lead class and/or laboratory sessions.
- Hold regular office hours and answer student questions.
- Develop, distribute, and/or grade course materials, homework, quizzes, and other materials.
- Grade exams and assessments.
- Maintain and submit class records.
- Attend meetings and trainings as needed.
- Comply with university standards and requirements.
