About The Position

In the Department of Modern Languages and Classics, one or more courses may be offered to part-time, temporary faculty members in fall 2026 and/or spring 2027. Courses available could include introductory or intermediate Spanish and French (SPA 101, SPA 102, SPA 203, SPA 204, FRE 101, FRE 102, FRE 201, FRE 202). Part-time temporary faculty members may be rehired in subsequent semesters based on course availability, schedule, funding, and performance. Continuation is subject to the terms of the PATFA bargaining agreement and other applicable university policies.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Spanish or a closely related field (for Spanish courses).
  • Master’s degree in French or a closely related field (for French courses).
  • Academic preparation adequate for the courses to be taught.
  • Teaching in person on campus.

Nice To Haves

  • At least two years’ college teaching experience.
