About The Position
Portland Community College is accepting applications to be considered for Part-Time Faculty assignments in Religious Studies. This is an interest pool, and applications will be reviewed as the need arises for new part-time faculty. Your application may be considered for substitute assignments as well as full term class assignments. The department is looking for individuals to join their learning community and play an important role at PCC. The college aims to make high-quality education accessible to everyone, creating opportunities for students and contributing to economic development.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Religion, Religious Studies, or Theology OR Master’s degree in a related field.
- Twenty (20) semester or thirty (30) quarter graduate hours in academic courses in Religion, Religious Studies, or Theology.
- Ability to establish residence in Oregon or Washington.
- Official transcripts required within 2 weeks of offer date for required degrees.
- Academic credentials must be from a regionally accredited US institution or a foreign institution with equivalent accreditation.
- For credentials from other countries, transcripts must be evaluated by agencies in good standing with the National Association of Credential Evaluation Services.
Nice To Haves
- Coursework addressing at least two different religious traditions for teaching R 210.
Responsibilities
