The University of Maine at Farmington (UMF) invites applications for Part-Time Faculty - Lecturers in Early Childhood Education for the 2026–2027 academic year. UMF serves a diverse population of traditional and non-traditional students across a range of liberal arts and professional programs. To meet the needs of these learners, the University delivers general education and degree-specific coursework through a variety of modalities, including face-to-face, synchronous, and asynchronous instruction. In this role, faculty will teach a wide range of courses in UMF’s Early Childhood Education Program. Courses may be delivered in-person, online, or through hybrid course delivery. Course assignments may include, but are not limited to, ECH 256 Creative Arts for the Young Child, ECH 384 Developing Science Concepts and Thinking in Young Children, ECH 336 Development of Mathematical Concepts and Thinking in Young Children, and ECH 440 Children, Families, and Communities. Courses are offered predominantly online, utilizing both synchronous and asynchronous formats.
