About The Position

The School of Public Service at National University invites applications for part-time faculty in Fingerprinting Analysis. The successful candidate will have a demonstrated record of / or potential for excellence in teaching in both fields and a commitment to serving the university’s diverse adult student body. This position primarily works closely with the Academic Program Director and other faculty within the program and contributes to ensuring program quality, student engagement, and success.

Requirements

Minimum of 2 years of experience with performing fingerprint comparisons and analysis required.
Must be eligible to work in California to facilitate courses onsite at the Spectrum Campus in San Diego.

Nice To Haves

Doctoral degree in the criminal justice, forensic science, or related field preferred.
Minimum of 1 year of higher education teaching adult learner experience preferred.
Experience working in Law Enforcement preferred.
Experience in developing course content preferred.

Responsibilities

Lead classroom sessions onsite.
Provide expertise in assigned content area by maintaining current knowledge in the field.
Provide substantive, timely feedback to students on various assessment activities.
Maintain a positive, safe, inclusive student-centric learning environment.
Complete required tasks on deadlines (e.g., final grades, assessment, grading rubrics, input for grade appeals, etc.)
Maintain appropriate professional training and/or scholarly activities, when applicable.
Provide feedback to the course lead regarding the course content.
Identify at-risk students and collaborate with student services.
