About The Position

Provide clinical, laboratory, and/or didactic instruction in an accredited dental hygiene program. Responsible for supervising and evaluating student performance, facilitating the development of clinical competencies, maintaining accurate attendance and grade records, and supporting student success in both classroom and clinical settings. Expectation to utilize learning management systems, participate in departmental meetings as needed, and ensure compliance with program, college, and professional standards. Plans, organizes, teaches, and provides feedback to promote and direct student success. Responds to students in a timely manner. Requirements

  • Current Ohio Dental Hygiene License.
  • Must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
  • At least an earned bachelor’s degree in dental Hygiene or a related health field.
  • At least two years of clinical experience as a dental hygienist.
  • Current Ohio Dental Hygiene License.
  • Must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree in dental hygiene or a related field.
  • Experience teaching in a dental hygiene program at the undergraduate level using Blackboard Ultra or similar learning management system.
  • Computer literate in Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Dentrix, and Blackboard or similar learning platforms.
  • Certification in local anesthesia and nitrous oxide administration and monitoring.
  • Currently registered Expanded Function Dental Auxiliary (EFDA) in the state of Ohio.
