About The Position

This position requires the part-time faculty member to teach one or more graduate courses in the M.S. in Cyber Investigations and Intelligence program within the Department of Computer and Information Systems (School of Data Intelligence and Technology). The program prepares cyber investigators to work at all levels of government and industry, with an emphasis on the identification, collection, and preservation of criminal and intelligence evidence, the operation of non-attributed computing environments, and the development of investigative tradecraft. Instruction is delivered on-ground in a dedicated cyber lab on the Moon Campus.

Requirements

  • Hold a master's degree in cybersecurity, computer information systems, criminal justice, intelligence studies, or a closely related field.
  • Demonstrate substantive professional experience directly relevant to the course(s) they are being considered to teach, such as work in cyber investigations, OSINT, intelligence analysis, offensive security/red team operations, software development for investigative applications, dark web investigations, or law-enforcement or intelligence-community service.

Nice To Haves

  • A doctorate (Ph.D. or D.Sc.) is preferred.
  • Prior teaching experience at the graduate level is desirable but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare appropriate learning activities and assessments aligned with course learning outcomes.
  • Meet all scheduled classes and lab sessions.
  • Meet university deadlines for roster verification, midterm and final grade submission, and other academic reporting requirements.
  • Communicate clearly and promptly with students.
  • Maintain a professional relationship with all students, colleagues, and program staff.
  • Integrate current investigative practice and applied lab exercises into instruction.
  • Maintain operational security practices appropriate to a non-attributed teaching environment.
