About The Position

The College of Business & Economics at Anderson University seeks qualified adjunct faculty to teach undergraduate courses across a variety of business disciplines. Potential teaching areas may include management, marketing, accounting, finance, economics, human resource management, entrepreneurship, supply chain management, business analytics, business law, sport management, organizational leadership, and other related areas of business. Faculty are expected to integrate Christian biblical values into course discussions in ways that encourage thoughtful reflection, ethical decision-making, responsible stewardship, and the application of Christian principles to contemporary business practice. Ideal candidates will bring strong academic preparation, relevant professional experience, Christian faith, and a commitment to engaging students through practical, applied learning. Teaching opportunities may be available in traditional, hybrid, and online formats depending on program needs.

Requirements

  • Master's degree or higher in business or a discipline appropriate to the courses they would be assigned to teach.
  • Appropriate graduate-level academic preparation in the relevant teaching discipline.
  • Relevant professional or industry experience is strongly preferred, particularly where that experience supports the practical and applied nature of the courses being taught.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to the Christian mission and values of Anderson University.

Nice To Haves

  • A Ph.D., D.B.A., or other appropriate terminal degree in a business discipline or closely related field
  • Prior college-level teaching experience
  • Experience teaching undergraduate students
  • Experience teaching in online or hybrid formats
  • Significant professional, industry, consulting, or leadership experience relevant to the candidate's teaching discipline

Responsibilities

  • Delivering high-quality instruction within the assigned discipline
  • Facilitating meaningful student engagement and applied learning
  • Providing timely and substantive feedback to students
  • Assessing student learning in accordance with established course and program outcomes
  • Maintaining appropriate communication with students
  • Integrating Christian faith and biblical principles appropriately within the discipline
  • Supporting the mission and academic standards of Anderson University and the College of Business & Economics
