About The Position

National University, a veteran-founded, nonprofit institution established in 1971, is seeking part-time faculty for its Clinical Mental Health Counseling program within the Department of Social Work, JFK School of Psychology and Social Sciences. The university is dedicated to providing accessible higher education to adult learners and serves a diverse student body globally. The successful candidate will demonstrate excellence in teaching and a commitment to serving adult students, working closely with the Academic Program Director and faculty to ensure program quality, student engagement, and success.

Requirements

Doctorate degree with focus in Counseling and Supervision or related counseling field from a regionally accredited institution.
Minimum two (2) years of direct teaching experience at the Master and/or Doctoral level.
Three plus (3+) years of professional and/or research experience in Educational Leadership.
Must have personal computer and ability to facilitate online instruction and communications remotely.
Graduate of CACREP-approved program.

Responsibilities

Provide substantive, timely feedback to students on various assessment activities.
Maintain a positive, safe, inclusive student-centric learning environment.
Complete required tasks on deadlines (e.g., final grades, assessment, grading rubrics, input for grade appeals, etc.)
Maintain appropriate professional training and/or scholarly activities, when applicable.
Provide feedback to the course lead regarding the course content.
Identify at-risk students and collaborate with student services.
