Part-Time Faculty, Biology, FlexPath

Strayer Education, Inc.

About The Position

Capella University’s FlexPath learning format offers asynchronous 12-week courses with self-paced target dates, rolling enrollment, and the opportunity for learners to complete a course early and advance to the next course during the quarter. Faculty support learner progress by providing competency-based evaluations within 48 hours of assessment submissions, excluding weekends and holidays. Assignments are offered on an ongoing rolling-enrollment basis according to faculty expertise and school needs. This role provides instruction using a pre-designed curriculum and supports learners through timely feedback and the online learning platform. The role may require occasional travel within the United States if a business need arises, though travel is uncommon for most programs. Depending on the role, working onsite in a corporate or campus office may be required. Faculty must also have access to a suitable remote work setting with a computer, privacy, reliable internet, phone, and video-conferencing capability. The position may require lifting and working more than 40 hours per week when business needs warrant; reasonable accommodations may be available. Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States; visa sponsorship is not available. The expected starting pay is $3,200 per assignment this quarter. Compensation varies based on the number and type of assignments offered and accepted, enrollment, and program. FlexPath course assignments range from $125 to $4,000, with an average over $3,000. Benefits are available to SEI employees scheduled for at least 30 hours per week and include medical, dental, vision, life and disability plans, well-being incentives, parental leave, paid time off, certain paid holidays, tax-saving accounts, a 401(k) retirement benefit, an employee stock purchase plan, tuition assistance, and entertainment and retail discounts.
