About The Position

The ASL & Interpreter programs within the Department of Language, Cultural Studies, Anthropology & Sociology at Eastern Kentucky University invites applications for a part-time faculty position to teach ASL or Interpreter courses. The courses may include, but are not limited to: ASL 390 Contrastive Analysis: ASL and English. (3 Credits) in a 100% online, synchronous format.

Requirements

  • Earned Master's degree in Linguistics, ASL Teaching, or Interpretation from a regionally accredited or internationally recognized institution.
  • Ability to teach undergraduate level courses.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience teaching post-secondary linguistics using ASL as the language of instruction, particularly the linguistics of signed languages.

Responsibilities

  • Teach ASL or Interpreter courses.
