About The Position

This is a temporary, part-time role for event staff, primarily on weekends, assisting with event setup, customer service, facility maintenance, and teardown. The position offers a pay rate of $16.50 per hour and allows for flexible work days from Thursdays to Sundays.

Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Possess and maintain a clear criminal and driving record.
Must be capable of obtaining and maintaining certification in CPR, First Aide, and perform if necessary.
Attend meetings and training as requested.
Become active in an organization of related professionals.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
Excellent problem-solving skills and a positive attitude.
Ability to lift and move equipment and supplies 50 lbs with repetitive movement.
At least 21 years of age.
Current driver’s license issued by state of residence.
Satisfactory Motor Vehicle Report.
Must be able to pass a physical exam.

Nice To Haves

At least 1 year experience in event management preferred.

Responsibilities

Assist with event setup, including arranging furniture, decorations, and equipment.
Provide excellent customer service to attendees, addressing inquiries and ensuring a positive experience.
Ensure thorough cleaning of all bathrooms within the Center.
Regularly remove trash from hallways, bathrooms, conference rooms, and the lobby.
Maintain tidy restrooms and open areas ensuring proper upkeep.
Help with the teardown and cleanup after events, ensuring all materials are returned to storage.
Follow all safety protocols and guidelines during events.
Collaborate with team members and communicate effectively to ensure event success.
Responsible for monitoring all facilities during events.
Liaison to the public in management’s absence.
Enforcing Rules (No alcohol, pets on a leash, no glass bottles, no fighting, etc).
In the event of an incident, completing and submitting Incident Reports.
Additional duties may be required as assigned.
