About The Position

Heritage Oaks Hospital, part of the UHS Family of Providers, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Therapist to join their multidisciplinary team at the Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) and Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP). This role focuses on facilitating virtual structured group therapy for adults with Anxiety and ADHD using an evidence-based curriculum. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience working with adult populations, particularly those managing Anxiety and ADHD and co-occurring mental health challenges. This position requires a strong background in group therapy, clinical assessment, and collaborative treatment planning. Heritage Oaks Hospital is a fully accredited, 125-bed acute psychiatric hospital offering a full range of individually tailored treatment services to adolescents, adults, and senior adults, including treatment for substance abuse and chemical dependency issues with drugs and alcohol. It is a Medicare provider and contracts with most commercial health insurance plans. Requirements

  • Master’s Degree from an accredited college or university in Social Work or Marriage and Family Therapy, or related discipline.
  • Social Worker requires a minimum of one (1) year experience in a psychiatric health care facility, with direct experience in family and group therapies, crisis intervention, and treatment skills; must have strong clinical assessment skills.
  • Registered with the California Board of Behavioral Sciences required.
  • CPR required.
  • Handle With Care training within 30 days of employment and prior to assisting in a restraining procedure.
  • Must be able to pass a department competency exam upon hire.
  • May be required to work flexible hours and overtime.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate daily/weekly group therapy sessions for adults with Anxiety and ADHD in IOP and PHP settings using a structured, clinic-provided curriculum.
  • Complete intake assessments and develop individualized treatment plans in alignment with program goals and client needs.
  • Participate in case consultations and collaborate closely with psychiatrists, nurse practitioners, and other members of the clinical team to ensure holistic, coordinated care.
