Requirements

• Completion of a Dental Assisting program and additional training in General Duties Expanded Function Dental Assisting, resulting in a Certificate of Completion or Diploma.
• General Duties Expanded Function Dental Assistant certification from the Maryland State Board of Dental Examiners - Required
• Registered Dental Assistant or Certified Dental Assistant certification is required
• DANB RHS - required
• At least three years of experience as an Expanded Functions Dental Assistant
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Highly organized, motivated, and results-driven

Nice To Haves

• An associate degree is preferred but not required.
• Prior higher education/postsecondary teaching experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Teach General Duties Expanded Function Dental Assisting courses.
• Provide academic advising to students.
• Participate in department training, meetings and graduation.
