About The Position

The Steward properly cleans, stores, and maintains all washable items within a sanitary and safe working environment. This role is responsible for operating dishwashing equipment to ensure adequate supplies of clean and sanitary tableware at all times. The position requires maintaining personal hygiene and sanitation standards, following proper food storage, handling, and preparation standards, and adhering to established Ecosure standards. The Steward will maintain a clean and safe work environment through regular floor maintenance, trash removal, proper storage of equipment, and cleaning of the dish area prior to the end of each shift. This role also involves handling and using chemicals needed to clean and sanitize tableware in a safe manner and completing all training requirements. All other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Experience in and passion for consumer service
Willingness to learn new skills and be a team player
An attitude of flexibility and mindfulness about the team approach
Clean and clear service areas
Follow proper procedures as disclosed in Standard Operating Procedures as explained to staff
Regular walking, standing, lifting up to 50lbs, bending, stooping, climbing, etc.
Performs tasks and duties under direct supervision, using well-defined policies and procedures. Work is reviewed by supervisor. Limited opportunity exists for exercising independent judgment and decision making.

High school diploma/GED preferred.
