This role involves orienting and instructing new drivers, assisting with assigning and directing employee work, and communicating schedules and assignments to crew members. The Crew Leader will manage vans and transport drivers, ensuring timely pick-up and drop-off of employees and vehicles. This includes shuttling employees to and from auxiliary parking lots on sale days and providing transportation to employees parking inventoried vehicles at remote sites. The role also involves picking up and dropping off employees and other Auction personnel to/from various locations. Daily maintenance and routine checks of the van are required, along with cleaning and servicing the vehicle. A strong commitment to safety is essential, working in cooperation with the Market Safety Manager. The Crew Leader will collaborate with management to review work volumes, plan staffing levels, and monitor departmental performance against key performance indicators. This position effectively leads the team by setting an example, championing company values, and ensuring respectful treatment of all employees. Enforcement of company policies and procedures is also a key responsibility. Overtime may be required as business needs dictate.
