About The Position

The School District of Onalaska is accepting applications for a Part-time Cook position to start with the 2026-27 school year. Current openings include High School (4 hours, 9:30am - 1:30pm), Middle School (4 hours, 10:00am - 2:00pm), and Eagle Bluff (5.5 hours, 7:30am - 1:00pm). This position is responsible for maintaining a high-quality child nutrition program in an atmosphere of efficiency, cleanliness, and warmth. The role operates on a school day schedule with no nights or weekends, and summer school work is available for those interested. Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Communication skills - both verbal and written
• Organizational skills
• Knowledge of basic mathematics
• Ability to deal with stressful situations
• Ability to cooperate with co-workers
• Ability to accept change with a positive attitude
• Capable of lifting 42-50 pounds unassisted

Nice To Haves

• Prior experience in quantity cooking preferred
