About The Position

Stronger Consulting is seeking to connect with a specialized consultant or advisor for a potential engagement focused on nonprofit mergers, consolidations, and organizational transition work. We are particularly interested in leaders who have direct experience supporting CDFIs, SBA Certified Development Companies, Community Advantage lenders, SBA lending programs, or other mission-based financial institutions during periods of strategic change.

Requirements

  • Working knowledge of SBA program requirements and their intersection with organizational structure, governance, and compliance
  • Familiarity with CDFI Fund requirements, U.S. Treasury CDFI certification, and related compliance issues
  • Experience with mission-based lending, small business capital access, and organizations serving underserved or minority-owned business communities
  • Familiarity with California and the broader Southwest nonprofit, lending, and CDFI landscape

Nice To Haves

  • Senior consultant experience
  • Former CDFI or SBA lending executive experience
  • Nonprofit merger advisor experience
  • Regulatory or compliance strategist experience
  • Mission-based finance leader with experience in both strategy and implementation

Responsibilities

  • Advising on nonprofit mergers, consolidations, affiliations, or major organizational transitions
  • Contributing to strategic assessment, due diligence, integration planning, governance, and leadership continuity work
