About The Position

The Part-Time Bus Monitor is a vital member of the Operations Team, which is responsible for designing and implementing efficient day-to-day systems and routines that contribute to a joyful school culture and the highest-levels of learning, instruction and organizational stewardship. The primary responsibility of the Part-Time Bus Monitor is to ensure the safety of all students riding the bus with a particular focus on our youngest riders (Pre-K3 students). This is a part-time position with opportunity for growth with the school and additional hours as needed.

Requirements

Belief in the Brillante Academy mission, model and values
Bilingual in English and Spanish
Team player with strong interpersonal, stakeholder management, and relationship building skills
Able to work bus schedule (approximately Monday - Friday 6:00-8:00 AM AND 3:15-5:30 PM)

Nice To Haves

Experience working in a school and/or with elementary aged students strongly preferred

Responsibilities

Ensuring students are acting safely and appropriately (sitting down, respectful, etc.)
Taking daily bus attendance
Supporting the bus driver as directed
Building meaningful relationships with students, staff and parents
Communicating behavior challenges to manager/school leader
Supporting arrival and dismissal processes
Performing other related tasks as assigned
