Hourly Pooled - Part Time Bus Driver, Transportation Services
About The Position
A University of Wyoming Bus Driver follows a planned bus route, making scheduled stops to pick up or drop off passengers. They will answer questions about the bus routes and communicate with dispatch via two-way radio during route. The working hours for these positions vary between 5:30am –7:00pm depending on your availability. Standard shifts are 5:30am-2pm, 10am-7pm. Partial shifts of 4-5 hours long are also available within these hours. Pre-employment drug screening and review of motor vehicle record history are required. This position provides vital support to campus customers and requires the successful candidate be available to work on campus.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- No Experience Required.
- Valid driver's license with a motor vehicle record (MVR) compliant with the Driving for University Business SAP
- Must be able to pass all drug and/or alcohol screening(s) required by the UW Drug and Alcohol Policy
- Ability to work as a team member in a professional team environment.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Ability to follow and enforce safety procedures and protocols as directed.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
Responsibilities
- Safely operate UW Transit buses as directed, on various routes and assignments.
- Perform inspections of the equipment as outlined in the department procedures and demonstrated throughout the onboarding process.
- Maintain relevant paperwork and documentation as required.
- Positively contribute to the team centered work environment.
- Follow all University and Transportation Services Policies and Procedures.
