About The Position

This role assists the Transportation Services Coordinator as needed and is responsible for the safe operation and maintenance of passenger vehicles.

Requirements

Three (3) years of bus driving experience.
Ability to safely and appropriately work on the fleet.
Ability to implement, maintain and ensures shop safety procedures at all times.
Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
Ability to communicate and work effectively with co-workers, supervisors, and the general public, and provide exceptional customer service.
Ability to effectively communicate and understand safety regulations and hazards.
Ability to work effectively; following through on assignments with minimal direction and fluctuating workload.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Nice To Haves

Experience in the operation of midsize to large passenger vehicles/equipment or buses.
Experience cleaning and/or fueling vehicles for use.
Experience checking fluids and tire pressure.
Experience inspecting vehicles or diagnosing mechanical issues.

Responsibilities

Assist the Transportation Services Coordinator as needed.
Experience in the operation of midsize to large passenger vehicles/equipment or buses.
Perform beginning-shift vehicle inspections prior to departure.
Maintain a clean and sanitary bus/van/vehicle at all times.
Report all mechanical issues to supervisor.
Obey all traffic laws and college policies.
Experience cleaning and/or fueling vehicles for use.
Experience checking fluids and tire pressure.
Experience inspecting vehicles or diagnosing mechanical issues.
Create and foster a positive and safe atmosphere.
Skill and ability to safely and appropriately work on the fleet.
