About The Position

A Budtender at Green Goods Dispensary is responsible for working alongside a healthcare team in a retail cannabis dispensary environment. This role reports directly to the Dispensary Manager. You will participate in our startup team to help educate and safely deliver products to our patients and customers. You will assist customers and caregivers through the dispensary process/experience, help train other team members in the use of cannabis-based medicines, and complete operational requirements by maintaining an organized work flow; verifying preparation and labeling of medications, verifying order entries and charges. You must comply with all state laws and regulations and participate in recordkeeping and reporting necessary for State Compliance. You will maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with custodial procedures, rules, and regulations, and adhere to infection-control standards such as handwashing. You will work on company initiatives to achieve set goals and performance indicators, educate customers on the proper use and storage of medical cannabis medications, and assist customers in determining the best treatment course under the supervision of a registered pharmacist and in conjunction with a provider’s recommendation. You will provide exceptional customer service to customers, potential customers, caregivers, and providers, maintain cash register and accountability for assigned drawer, and complete opening/closing procedures as assigned. You will utilize computer systems and programs appropriately for daily operations such as customer communication, refill orders, making appointments and home deliveries, and assist with the incoming orders, shipments, and deliveries of supplies. You will attend staff meetings and continuing education as directed, and maintain and safeguard entrusted confidential information. You will work with the eCommerce platform to review and approve online orders and patient accounts, and assist customers in utilizing the eCommerce platform in order to obtain medical cannabis medications. Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

A high school diploma and 1-3 years’ experience in a retail environment
Proficiency with MS Office required
Excellent communication skills, verbal and written
Ability to work in a team environment, as well as independently
Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Adaptable to change in the work environment
At least 21 years of age as required by law
Weekend availability
Ability to pass background check and drug test as required by law (positive marijuana test is acceptable if applicant is a Maryland certified medical cannabis patient)
