In the Branch Sales Associate role, you will be the face of our branch, providing exceptional customer service, product knowledge, and support to HVAC/R professionals and contractors who visit our location. Requirements

  • Previous experience in a customer-facing role, preferably within the HVAC/R industry or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC/R products, equipment, and components.
  • Excellent customer service skills, including active listening and problem-solving abilities.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency with computerized sales and inventory management systems.
  • Positive attitude, willingness to learn, and team-oriented mindset.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Ability to bend, stoop, and reach to access products and supplies.
  • May need to operate a forklift; prior forklift certification preferred.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • One (1) year of customer service experience.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Greet customers and provide expert advice, product information, and recommendations to help them find the right HVAC/R products and supplies for their needs.
  • Accurately process customer orders, ensuring all requested items are available, properly priced, and invoiced correctly.
  • Maintain a deep understanding of HVAC/R product inventory, including specifications, compatibility, and pricing.
  • Monitor and replenish floor stock, conduct regular inventory counts, and report discrepancies to the Branch Manager.
  • Assist customers in troubleshooting and finding solutions to technical issues related to HVAC/R equipment and components.
  • Promote sales initiatives and special offers while identifying opportunities to upsell products when appropriate.
  • Provide warehouse operations support, including receiving, inspecting, and stocking incoming merchandise.
  • Support inventory accuracy through cycle counts, stock replenishment, and product organization.
  • Safely operate forklifts and pallet jacks in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Uphold safety standards and maintain a clean, organized counter and warehouse environment.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
