About The Position

We are seeking a highly organized and results-oriented Part Time Assistant Store Manager to join our team at Queens Center Mall. This role requires a dynamic individual with strong leadership abilities and a passion for customer service . The Assistant Store Manager will assist in all aspects of store operations, including sales management, inventory management , and ensuring a positive shopping experience. The ideal candidate will be adaptable and possess excellent communication skills, capable of supervision and training and development of staff.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Proven ability to manage and motivate a team, demonstrating leadership qualities.
  • Working knowledge of retail sales principles and practices.
  • Experience in cash handling and cashiering procedures.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
  • Experience with supervision of retail staff.
  • Demonstrated ability to apply selling techniques effectively.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in a similar retail management role.
  • Experience with inventory management systems.
  • Familiarity with planning and scheduling software.
  • Experience with promotional effectiveness strategies.
  • 1-2 years of experience in a retail environment.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Store Manager in achieving sales targets and driving sales effectiveness.
  • Provide customer service and resolve customer issues, demonstrating excellent problem solving skills.
  • Oversee cash handling procedures and ensure accurate cashiering.
  • Assist with merchandising and visual presentation to maximize promotional effectiveness.
  • Participate in scheduling and manage staff breaks and coverage.
  • Assist in retail operations, including opening and closing procedures.
  • Provide coaching and training and development to sales associates.
  • Maintain store cleanliness and organization.
  • Demonstrate product knowledge to assist customers and drive sales.
  • Assist with inventory management and loss prevention.
