About The Position

Brightmont Academy is seeking a Part-Time ASL (American Sign Language) Instructor to provide one-to-one instruction to students in grades 1-12. Since 1999, Brightmont Academy has helped students achieve their full potential through personalized instruction. With 26 campuses across 11 states, we foster a nurturing, student-centered environment. This role offers a flexible schedule with no lesson planning or outside work required, allowing instructors to focus solely on inspiring their students. We provide professional development opportunities to support career growth.

Requirements

• A Bachelor’s Degree in your subject area
• Experience teaching American Sign Language
• Patience & Empathy: Understanding that every student learns differently and commitment to supporting them.
• A Heart for Teaching: A genuine passion to share your subject with the next generation.
• Proficiency using G-Suite and Learning Management Software (LMS)
• Ability to pass a federal background check.

Nice To Haves

• A teaching certification
• Advanced degree in a specific subject area of expertise.
• Previous one-to-one teaching experience.

Responsibilities

• Teach students one-on-one, tailoring lessons to their unique needs and learning styles.
