About The Position

We are a family of four seeking a mature, organized, and dependable part-time after-school nanny for our 17-year-old daughter and 9-year-old son. Our family values kindness, respect, and a positive home environment filled with humor and laughter. We prioritize family time, travel, and staying active. We are looking for a long-term relationship with a caregiver who will become an important part of our family, and we aim to value, respect, and support our nanny. The role involves overseeing the children's after-school routines, including snack preparation, homework, reading, and workbook assignments, with an emphasis on reviewing their work and providing thoughtful feedback. The nanny will coordinate with the children's tutors, help manage the family calendar and activity paperwork, and communicate regularly with parents and tutors. Transportation to various activities, appointments, and tutoring sessions is a key responsibility, as is planning each afternoon to ensure children are on time for their commitments. The position also includes library trips, providing weekly updates to parents, and planning monthly one-on-one outings with each child. This is a part-time position starting ASAP, Monday-Thursday from 3:15-6:45 pm, with the potential to continue into the summer.

Requirements

  • Valid driver's license.

  • Reliable, Intuitive, Organized and a great communicator with previous school ages children experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience tutoring in STEM subjects.
  • Experience tutoring in French or willingness to learn French.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee children's after-school routines, including snack preparation, homework, reading, and workbook assignments.
