Part Time After-School Nanny – Scarsdale, NY
About The Position
A family in Scarsdale, NY 10583 is seeking a kind, dependable, and engaging nanny to care for their 4-year-old (turns 5 early August) son beginning as soon as possible. The family values active, screen-free care and is looking for someone who can provide structure while maintaining a warm and nurturing approach. They are also expecting a second child this fall, with the potential for increased hours and pay in the future if the nanny is interested in caring for both children. The schedule is Monday-Thursday from 2:30 PM to 7:30 PM and Friday from 2:30 PM to 6:00 PM. The home is smoke-free and has one friendly Mini Goldendoodle.
Requirements
- Experience caring for preschool-aged children
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Comfortable driving the family's vehicle for school and activity pickups
- Comfortable working in a home with a dog
- Proof of legal authorization to work in the United States
Responsibilities
- Pick up the child from school or camp (both located within 10 minutes of the home)
- Prepare meals for the child
- Engage in age-appropriate, screen-free activities and active play
- Assist with bathing and the evening routine
- Feed the family dog and let it outside as needed
- Maintain a safe, positive, and nurturing environment
