About The Position

The School of Global Languages, Literatures, and Cultures at The Pennsylvania State University invites applications for part-time lecturer openings for the 2026 – 2027 Academic Year, including Summer 2026. Part-time lecturers will teach undergraduate resident and/or online courses in Spanish, Italian, and Portuguese, German and Slavic Languages and Literatures, French and Francophone Studies, Comparative Literature, or Asian Studies. These are one semester or summer session, non-tenure track appointments. Summer lecturers normally teach one to two courses.

Requirements

  • A Master’s degree in a related field is required.
  • Successful candidates must either have demonstrated a commitment to building an inclusive, equitable, and diverse campus community, or describe one or more ways they would envision doing so, given the opportunity.

  • Teach undergraduate resident and/or online courses in Spanish, Italian, and Portuguese, German and Slavic Languages and Literatures, French and Francophone Studies, Comparative Literature, or Asian Studies.
