About The Position

On December 17, 2025, FlyHouse completed the acquisition of Sun Air Jets. As you join the Sun Air Jets team, you are now part of the House. FlyHouse is a rapidly growing private aviation company offering a complete suite of private aviation services including aircraft management, charter operations, maintenance (Part 135 and Part 145 certified), and innovative technology solutions. The Chief Inspector has the authority and responsibility for coordinating, accomplishing, and supervising all inspection functions. This position will be involved directing and orienting Inspectors to execute their work according to the task requirements in line with the Sun Air Jets procedures and ensuring compliance to FAA regulations.

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Completion of an accredited aviation maintenance technician program is required.
  • A valid Aircraft Mechanic License is required.
  • 10+ years of aviation technician leadership experience - military or civilian required.
  • Chief Inspector or leadership experience is required.
  • Experience in Gulfstream, Global, or Citation platforms required
  • Familiarity with aircraft systems, including avionics, hydraulics, pneumatics, and powerplant required.
  • Experience following technical manuals and procedures accurately required.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience using Corridor preferred.
  • Inspector Authorization is highly desired.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise inspection personnel and assist them in daily tasks.
  • Perform Incoming, Preliminary, In-process, Hidden damage, and Final inspections of aircraft and components.
  • Prepare and complete FAA 8130-3 Airworthiness Approval Tags, Aircraft Logbook Entries, and CAMP cards as required by the customer.
  • Ensure accurate documentation of maintenance, materials, and inspections before aircraft or component return to service.
  • Ensure adherence to all FAA regulations, including 14 CFR Parts 21, 43, 65, 91, 135, and 145, OEM technical data, and Repair Station Manuals (RSQM).
  • Understand and implement maintenance practices that meet the specific regulatory requirements of Part 121 and Part 135 operators.
  • Oversee the Repair Station’s capabilities list and ensure compliance with FAA regulations.
  • Maintain calibration, traceability, shelf life, and scrap programs.
  • Develop and oversee quality standards, methods, and procedures.
  • Collaborate with the General Manager to develop and implement policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with the Production Department to manage and conduct all required training sessions per the Training Manual.
  • Establish programs to enhance employees’ technical skills and regulatory knowledge.
  • Oversee the Anti-Drug and Alcohol Misuse Prevention Program.
  • Conduct internal audits and oversee audits of approved contractors.
  • Act as the liaison with the FAA and represent the Repair Station during audits.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and compliant work environment per OSHA standards.
