About The Position
The City of Foley is hiring seasonal Parks Maintenance Workers in the Parks and Recreation Department. This role involves maintaining public areas, including mowing grass, weed eating, edging, blowing, and trimming trees and shrubs. Responsibilities also include removing debris and trash, emptying trash receptacles, assisting with restroom cleaning, and supporting event set-ups and break-downs.
Requirements
- Must be 16 years of age or older
- Must possess physical tolerance to work outside in extreme conditions
- Must have tolerance for walking extended periods of time, bending, and lifting heavy loads
- Must be willing to work nonstandard hours, weekends, and holidays when necessary
- Must hold a valid driver's license
- Must pass a criminal background check (including driving record)
- Must pass a physical
- Must pass a drug screen
