About The Position

The City of O'Fallon is seeking a dedicated Parks Maintenance Worker I to help keep our parks and recreational spaces beautiful, safe, and welcoming year-round. This role involves maintaining and enhancing O'Fallon's parks, athletic fields, playgrounds, pavilions, lakes, and green spaces.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED
1–3 years of experience in groundskeeping, parks maintenance, landscaping, or similar work
Valid Class A CDL (or ability to obtain one) – Paid CDL Training Program available
Positive attitude, teamwork spirit, and flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and in various weather conditions
Possession of or ability to readily obtain a valid Class A CDL driver's license issued by the State of Missouri for the type of vehicle or equipment operated.

Nice To Haves

Experience in turf management for athletic fields or golf courses is a plus

Responsibilities

Grooming and prepping athletic fields for games and tournaments
Mowing, trimming, seeding, and aerating turf areas
Maintaining park restrooms, pavilions, and playgrounds for public safety
Assisting with irrigation, minor construction projects, and playground inspections
Operating equipment such as mowers, backhoes, dump trucks, and skid steers
Supporting special events, festivals, and snow removal operations
