About The Position
The purpose of this position is to be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and installation, testing, and troubleshooting anomalies of city irrigation systems while following safety standards. Irrigation systems are composed of sprinkler heads, PVC and metal water lines, pumps, variable frequency drives, pressure regulators, fertigation units, valves, electrical wiring and other components. Irrigation systems are normally buried underground and must be excavated to be maintained. This job works under close supervision according to set procedures.
Requirements
- Ability to follow safety standards
- Ability to work under close supervision according to set procedures
- Experience with sprinkler heads, PVC and metal water lines, pumps, variable frequency drives, pressure regulators, fertigation units, valves, and electrical wiring
- Ability to excavate underground irrigation systems for maintenance
