This is an excellent opportunity to continue your career with Kentucky State Parks. We are currently accepting applications for a Parks Golf Professional at My Old Kentucky Home State Park. We are currently seeking a Golf Professional who has knowledge and experience of overseeing the golf shop business operation, golf volunteer program, golf car operation, and many other aspects of the golf operation. Requirements

  • Graduate of a college or university with a bachelor's degree.
  • Two years of experience as an Assistant Golf Professional or Head Golf Professional.
  • Must be 20 years and one day of age at time of employment.
  • Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license to qualify for employment in this job classification.
  • Must be a member of PGA of America in good standing.
  • Must obtain S.T.A.R. (Server Training in Alcohol Regulations) certification from the Kentucky Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control within six months of employment and maintain certification for the length of employment in this job classification.
  • Must maintain any required licensure(s), certification(s), or other credentials for the length of employment in this job classification.

Nice To Haves

  • Additional experience as an Assistant Golf Professional or Head Golf Professional will substitute for the required education on a year-for-year basis.

Responsibilities

  • Manage up to 8 employees as well as a volunteer program of 25-30 people.
  • Manage a golf cart fleet up to 70 carts.
  • Manage daily play, golf packages, all golf activities, training and supervising staff, managing the retail merchandising operation and inventory control.
  • Manage vending services, tournament and group event coordination, providing instruction programs, and accounting for daily receipts from golf shop and golf car operations.
