About The Position

Under direct supervision, maintains the premises of Parks Facilities, keeping them clean and orderly. This role involves performing various cleaning and maintenance duties to ensure a safe and pleasant environment for park visitors.

Requirements

Knowledge of common practices, methods, tools and materials used in basic building maintenance and grounds keeping.
Knowledge of the hazards and safety precautions of the work.
Knowledge of institutional or industrial cleaning methods.
Knowledge of departmental policies and procedures.
Ability to plan, organize, prioritize and achieve effective time management.
Ability to positively handle work under time constraints.
Ability to work in hot and humid surroundings.
Ability to maintain the physical stamina necessary to perform manual labor.
Ability to work varied shifts.
Ability to understand and apply workplace and job site safety rules.
Knowledge of Inventory Control software, Word Processing software, and Internet software.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers and employees of the organization.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, of diagram form.
Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Valid Oklahoma Driver’s License possessed for at least 6 months.
Defensive Driving with Tulsa County within 6 months of hired.
Must submit to testing for drugs and alcohol and test negative before performing any job functions that are safety-sensitive or require a CDL.
Less than a high school education; or up to one-month related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

Cleans and maintains Parks Facilities.
Uses cleaning tools and other products to create a clean and healthy environment.
Keeps restrooms clean and stocked with supplies.
Cleans and polishes windows, walls, and hardware using prepared cleaning agents.
Sweeps and mops floors as needed.
Cleans up spills and mops floors dry.
Picks up trash in public areas.
Performs snow removal, sand bagging, and cleaning of properties.
Performs other duties as assigned.
