About The Position

The Town of Marana is seeking a Parks and Recreation Lead Maintenance Associate to work in the Parks and Recreation Department. This is a full-time position and an exciting opportunity for someone interested in leading operators, inmates and work activities in the maintenance and repair of the Town’s infrastructure. The Town offers a competitive benefits package.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED equivalency plus six months of additional education or training
Over three years’ experience in commercial or residential landscaping, commercial/custodial manual labor, or closely related field.
Valid Arizona Driver License
Must pass a pre-employment physical, 50-pound lift test and audiogram
Ability to pass both the Town of Marana background check and a motor vehicle records check
Ability to pass the Arizona Department of Corrections background

Nice To Haves

1 year inmate supervision experience
AZDA-PMD Certified Applicator
Structural Pest Control Certification - right of ways

Responsibilities

Leads assigned staff and/or inmate crews; provides service to internal and external customers.
Tracks and manages work orders, workflow, materials and supplies.
Performs routine skilled maintenance and/or landscaping tasks; inspects, cleans and performs routine maintenance work on trucks and equipment; identifies and reports mechanical problems.
Performs work duties and operates a variety of trucks and equipment in accordance with all safety regulations and procedures.
