Work involves responsibility for planning, organizing, coordinating, assigning, and evaluating the work of subordinate staff overseeing operations, maintenance, and administration of the Parks and Recreation Department. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Parks and Recreation Administration, Public or Business Administration, or other relevant field of study.
  • Minimum of 10 years of progressively responsible work involving facility management and administration, and thorough experience in the administration of a diversified parks and recreation program; or an equivalent combination of accepted education, training and experience.
  • Possession of a valid driver’s license and a safe driving record.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s Degree in Parks and Recreation, Public or Business Administration, or other relevant field of study.
  • Certified Park and Recreation Professional (CPRP).
  • Certified Park and Recreation Executive (CPRE).
  • Bilingual English/Spanish.

Responsibilities

  • Planning, organizing, coordinating and directing the administration, operation, maintenance, and development of the parks system, recreation facilities, recreational programs, and special events for the Town of Leesburg.
  • Planning, organizing, coordinating, assigning, and evaluating the work of subordinate staff overseeing operations, maintenance, and administration of the Parks and Recreation Department.
