About The Position

Coaches, organizes, and supervises a certain sport for middle school students. This role involves teaching sportsmanship, cooperation, work ethic, personal responsibility, and competitiveness, along with providing instruction on specific sports skills, running drills, scrimmages, and games. The position requires constant supervision of students and contact with parents.

Requirements

Personal skills that reflect positive relations with middle school students, parents, and the community.
Knowledge of the principles of individual and team fundamentals of the listed sports.
Ability to organize and prepare practice schedules.
Ability to develop a solid discipline that emphasizes teamwork and good sportsmanship.
Ability to secure cooperation and communication with students and adults.
Dependability, initiative, and resourcefulness.
Work involves frequent walking and standing.
Some lifting and carrying of objects of moderate weight (12-20 lbs.).
Daily participation in leading practices, and games for middle school students.
